Seek Labs Expands Oncology Research for Sequence Ablation Therapeutics with Up to $3 Million in Foundation Support

Two2Ten Foundation supports the continued development of Seek Labs’ Sequence Ablation Therapeutics (SAT) platform into oncology, honoring the memory of Travis Snyder

SALT LAKE CITY, Oct. 26, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Seek Labs, a Salt Lake City Tech Bio company developing programmable CRISPR-based medicines, today announced an agreement with the Two2Ten Foundation providing up to $3 million to support the continued expansion of its Sequence Ablation Therapeutics (SAT) platform into oncology. The funding will advance preclinical research applying Seek Labs’ programmable therapeutic approach to cancer with the goal of creating new options for patients underserved by existing treatments.

A mission rooted in a family’s experience
The collaboration reflects a shared conviction that existing treatments leave too many patients without effective options and that advancing cancer care requires investment in new therapeutic approaches. For Heidi Snyder, President of the Two2Ten Foundation, that mission is personal. Her husband, Travis Snyder, passed away from acute myeloid leukemia.

Heidi Snyder said, “The next generation of cancer treatments will come from people willing to think differently. Travis’s experience made it impossible for me to believe today’s treatment options are the best we can do. Seek Labs is pursuing an unconventional approach to targeting cancer, with the potential to open entirely new possibilities in oncology. That’s the kind of ambitious science we believe deserves support—and the kind of work we want Travis’s legacy to help advance.”

Expanding a programmable approach to disease
Sequence Ablation Therapeutics are investigational medicines designed to recognize and ablate selected genetic sequences involved in disease. The platform combines computational sequence analysis with programmable CRISPR technology to develop therapeutic candidates for specific disease targets.

“We built Seek Labs because too many families reach a point where medicine has no more answers for them,” said Jared Bauer, CEO and Co-Founder of Seek Labs. “The treatments available today have changed many lives, but there are still patients they cannot help. We see an important opportunity to expand SAT into oncology and explore a different approach to treating cancer. We are grateful to Heidi and the Foundation for helping us advance that work in Travis’s memory.”

Advancing oncology research
Seek Labs is exploring how SAT can be applied in oncology, building on the company’s broader work in infectious disease. The Foundation’s support will advance research into SAT candidates and their delivery. The findings will guide subsequent development.

“Expanding SAT into oncology opens an important new direction for our research,” said Alison O’Mahony, PhD, Senior Vice President of Research and Development at Seek Labs. “We are excited by the opportunity to bring our platform to cancers where patients urgently need better options. This funding allows us to move that work forward and investigate what a programmable approach could make possible.”

The program will evaluate SAT in preclinical cancer models, generating evidence to inform the platform’s development in oncology. Seek Labs intends to share findings through scientific publications and presentations as the research progresses.
